About us:
Susan and Sean met through a mutual friend at Wesleyan University, where Susan did her graduate studies in Music and Sean did his undergraduate studies in Physics. While technically the first introduction happened at the Science Tower while they were both still students, that meeting wasn't even remembered by either of them until years later. The first meeting of any relevance happened after both had graduated from Wes, at the site where the wedding will take place: the Dague residence in Granville, VT. Thank you, Mike Fogg!
Nearly a year after that meeting, Susan and Sean had a chance to connect again while Sean was visiting Wesleyan for Commencement/Alumni weekend. This time the relationship blossomed, with the "first date" in Saco, Maine on June 1, 2002. For two years Sean and Susan managed a long-distance romance, as Sean was working for IBM in Poughkeepsie, NY, while Susan worked for the Center for the Arts at Wesleyan. In 2004 Sean purchased a house in Poughkeepsie, and Susan left her job at the CFA to move to New York state. After 1 1/2 years of living together in Poughkeepsie, Sean proposed to Susan on November 4, 2005.
