Central Vermont offers a wide variety of things to do, especially if you are the outdoors type. There are numerous local areas to go hiking, or just walking through the woods, enjoying waterfalls and lakes while you do so.
Outdoor Attractions

In Granville:
Moss Glen Falls - local waterfall, boardwalk accessible
West Hill, Green Mountain National Forest - 10s of miles of trails and back roads through the National Forest. Great for hikes of any duration.
There are also a number of short, and longer hikes that are 20 - 30 minutes away (mostly along Rt 125). This include Robert Frost's Home (National Historic Site), Texas Falls, and Lake Pleiad (along the Long Trail). Please see: http://www.middleburymountaineer.com/local_trails.html for more information.
